Decrease Pain ! Increase Fun !

We are Eastern Passages only rehabilitation clinic with a Certified Athletic Therapist.
Our primary focus is getting you pain free and back to the outdoor activities that you enjoy.
You may have tried Massage therapy in the past that helped with your pain only to have it return again.
At Forest Gate Therapy we use massage therapy not only as treatment but as assessment tool. We figure out the cause of your pain not just relieve your symptoms. This approach gives you the opportunity to take control of your rehab and get the results you want.
Stop band-aiding your pain, instead find the solution.

I'm not trying to be a fitness influencer. But I really would like to put athletic therapist Rozalind Sorensen together with potential clients like me because I've benefited really a lot from working with her. What do I mean by "like me"? I'm 66 and retired. During my busy professional life, I managed to stay in decent shape through strength training and hiking. But there's no denying that a sedentary life at a desk took a toll. Especially on the flexibility of my hips, knees, and ankles. Now I'm retired, I decided that I needed to do more to fight off the natural declines that aging brings. A couple of health crises last year made this urgent. I realized it's not just "use it or lose it" but "use it or else it might break." A friend recommended Rozalind.
There are three specific reasons why someone like me finds her to be a great trainer.
First, she doesn't condescend to an older woman. She knows I can put out a serious effort. She knows I'm not starting at zero. I don't need to be told to build up to walking 30 minutes a day.
Second, she measures my progress in ways that help me be patient. I don't take advice easily. I need to be convinced and I don't like woo-woo. Rozalind is well-informed and experienced. My confidence in her helps me stick with a strategy that's designed for gradual improvement.
Third, because she is a massage therapist with lots of experience dealing with athletic injuries, I know I'm getting massage treatment that's genuinely useful for developing better mobility and stability in my legs. Massage helps me take on challenging exercises. Different people need different things from trainers. I'm at a point in my life where I'm willing to put in a substantial effort to get a result. But I really don't want to waste my time doing things that are too easy or that won't work. I'm planning to be stronger and faster at 70 than I was at 65 and I think Rozalind will help me get there.

Rozalind grew up on a farm in Northern Saskatchewan where she learned about the value of hard work and the importance of family and friends. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2006 and moved on to complete her Athletic Therapy degree at the University of Manitoba in 2009.
She has  a strong passion to learn, so following her certification she continued with several courses including: myofascial cupping, instrumental massage techniques, CrossFit Level 1 and 2 Coach, Indirect/Direct Oscillation techniques, nerve flossing and Concussion Assessment and Treatment.
She returned to school in the fall of 2017 and graduated with Honours from ICT Northumberland College as a Registered Massage Therapist in June 2018. She enjoys using massage as a modality to decrease pain, improve range of motion and bring relaxation to her clients' day.
In her free time she enjoys spending time in nature going on hikes with her 2 dogs, 3 kids and husband
